A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS SINCE 1959

Yellowstone Air Service was founded in 1959 by Bill Ferguson to provide high quality aerial application aka ‘crop dusting’ services in Southwest Montana.  As the company grew, it expanded into fuel sales, charter flying, aircraft maintenance, flight instruction, and for a time was one of the largest Cessna dealers in the Northwest United States.

In 2021, Gabriel Chandler moved with his family from North Dakota, and purchased the company from Justin and Russell Ferguson who grew up under their father's tutelage. Since then, Gabriel and his team have worked diligently to improve the services offered to the flying public at both the Big Timber and Livingston locations, while carrying on the tradition of quality service presented with a humble and down to earth attitude. With this in mind, Gabriel implemented the company slogan, “Where the wind blows, but the service doesn’t.” Everyone at Yellowstone Air Service embodies that mentality as we continue to improve upon our foundations, looking forward to the future.

OUR TEAM

We pride ourselves on operating two FBO locations with a lean and enthusiastic crew of aviation professionals dedicated to maintaining safety, creature comforts, and punctuality while having fun doing it. If it seems like you might be a good fit here, please reach out and introduce yourself.

Gabriel Chandler

Owner & Livingston FBO Manager

Gabriel started out guiding in Alaska as a young man, because of his experiences up north he fell in love with Piper Cubs and now personally flies a PA-12. His exit from oilfield logistics and entry into the FBO business is a logical progression of his love for general aviation.
